Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
This policy explains how Oqoudi collects, uses, and retains your personal data, and what rights you have over it, in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
01Data we collect
Account data (name, email, hashed password), the organisation you belong to and your role in it, the content of documents you create and edit, and the technical usage logs needed to operate and secure the service.
02Basis and purposes of processing
We process your data to perform our contract with you in providing the service, to meet our legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in securing the platform and preventing misuse. We do not use the content of your documents for any marketing purpose.
03Our role regarding document content
For personal data you place inside your documents, your organisation is the controller and we are the processor: we process that data only on your documented instructions and for the purposes of providing the service.
04Artificial intelligence
When you use the AI assistance features, the text you ask us to process is sent to the model provider for the purpose of generating the suggestion and returning it to you. Your documents are not used to train models, and you may decline to use these features without affecting the rest of the service.
05Disclosure to third parties
We disclose your data to the technical service providers we rely on (hosting, storage, email, payments, and the AI model provider), only to the extent necessary and under equivalent confidentiality and security undertakings. We also disclose it where the law requires or a competent judicial or regulatory authority requests it.
06Data security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, per-organisation data isolation, role-based access, and an immutable audit trail. We notify you without undue delay on becoming aware of any breach affecting your data.
07Retention
We retain your account data and documents for the duration of your subscription, then for the period needed to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. You may request deletion of your account, and we delete what the law does not require us to keep.
08Transfers outside the UAE
Some data may be processed by service providers outside the UAE. Where that happens, we apply the safeguards required by the Personal Data Protection Law for such processing.
09Your rights
You have the right to access your data and request its correction or deletion, to object to or restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing rests on it. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below.
